About DraftSight 2D CAD Design & Drafting
DraftSight is a free 2D CAD design and drafting software, which is a great alternative to AutoCAD, and ideal for smaller businesses.
DraftSight is comparable to AutoCAD in 2D CAD design, and can be used to create and edit 2D CAD drawings in the AutoCAD .dwg format.
As standard we offer an introductory course for DraftSight, however for intermediate or advanced training please enquire.
All DraftSight 2D CAD training courses are instructor-led at your site or scheduled (contact us for more information) and include PC Hire, course notes and exercises PLUS six months’ post-course support.
All courses can be personalised to your business and personnel needs at no additional cost.
Each level of training takes two (2) days.

Course Outlines
DraftSight Introduction
Learn how to create and modify 2D drawings using DraftSight 2D CAD software.
Create major elements that make up all 2D CAD drawings. Use keyboard shortcuts and commands to speed up drawing production. Create repetitive symbols that can be used in any drawing. Use precision to create perfectly accurate drawings.
Learn how to see exactly the areas of the drawings you need. Learn the skills needed to separate elements to be viewed. Measure and show element sizes. Lay out and print drawings with perfect scaling. (NB All course content is in line with AutoCAD counterpart)

ONSITE Learning
Learn in the comfort of your own workplace, both individually and in small groups of colleagues.
Each course is delivered by an experienced, qualified instructor who is on hand to help individual learners as well as guiding the group with hands-on examples and exercises.
Each course can be personalised to meet the individual needs of the business and the trainees
Duration: 2 days per level
REMOTE Learning
Learn with the convenience of remote meeting technology such as Teams or Zoom.
With the benefit of two screens each learner will feel involved, and the live training delivers the same quality of training as the in-room experience of trainer/delegate interaction.
The trainer will deliver the training live, with each demonstration on one screen, taking the trainee through the examples step by step on their own screen.
Each course can be personalised to meet the individual needs of the business and the trainees.
